Way off topic, my friend!

I think we each have to decide which substances to avoid, or not. I use that aluminum pot about 20 times a year ... and nothing sits in it for very long. On the other hand, they are talking about doing some sort of insecticide spraying from low-flying planes -- I'm much more afraid of that than I am of getting Alzheimer's from a few pots of coffee.

Which do you think will kill me first? The insecticide? The aluminum coffeepot? Or the saccharin I carry to India for my tea? Or maybe the diabetes that makes me carry the saccharin?

So let's just go back to discussing coffee, okay?

Actually, although I thought the aluminium-pot thing had been disproved some time back, I think it is a fair warning, and why not use stainless if it is available?

We can take the warning on board ---and then move on with coffee

It's "old business," Nick. Look here and read all the way to the end!
