Hi People,
Here is my favourite cocktail receipie. I had it in a restaurant in Bangalore, found out the recipie, and have eversince made it for myself at home and elsewhere. Recipie is simple. 60 ml Vodka Rest of the glass is to be filled with Coconut water. Add crushed ice... If the coconut water is not sweet, add sugar to taste. The resulting concoction tastes heavenly. It is called 'CocoKnock' by the restaurant. Full marks....pls share simple rum / vodka based cocktail recipies, so that i can try them, and enjoy... |

hey lonely aztek!
long time. have been up to my eyes in work lately. my fav vodka / gin cocktail. serve four small glasses: 4 measures of vodka 1 scoop of vanilla icecream 1 small banana 2 heaped spoons of coffee (in the absence of coffee liqueur) lots of crused ice put together in a mixer. (banana wont crush in a cocktail shaker) garnish the glass rim with chocolate syrup and yummmmmm..... for the non-alcoholics another favourite with coffee: serve 4 in tall glasses 3 tall glasses of crushed milk (put your milk packet in the deep freezer) 1 tall glass of coke / pepsi 10 heaped tea-spoons of coffee 10 tea-spoons of sugar put in a mixer till the frozen milk will be crushed (don't let it melt but) garnish the glass rim with chocolate syrup you have yummy cold coffee slush! ![]() |

As sugar and coke are non-existent at the moment, I guess the only alternative for my visitors will be the alcoholic ones Guesh ish gonna be a feshtive weekend!!!

You could mix your vodka with lemonade or other fizzy fruit drinks, + the fruit. A non-alcoholic sangria is sometimes made with weak tea, sugar, fruit and fresh ginger added for some 'zing' as well as ice. |

I had Bloodymary at that famous chinese restaurant (the one off to MG road area where you have to climb down to enter the restaurant as it is a bit down the dround level).
Does this (Bloodymary) taste same all arround the world?? ....like tomato sauce+vodka(?)+ salt grains stuck arround the brim of the glass ![]() OK, have coconut water after squeezing a lemon into it.Taste nice ![]() |

Bloody Mary should have vodka, tomato juice, tabasco and worcester sauce. A nice optional add-on is a bit of horseradish sauce, too. Gives it a bit of a kick.
Ideal hangover cure. Particularly if you have 7 or 8 of them.

Here's a special drink I personally concocted in honour of a friend's return to the US with his newly met & newly wed bride.
THE PRAKILA: 1 1/2 oz vanilla infused vodka 1 oz creme de banana 2 oz pinapple juice 1/2 squeeze of lemon Shake over ice to a Bhangra beat and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with dark frozen fruit (Rasberry/Blueberry/Marionberry) nestled lovingly in the bottom of the glass.
