No alcoholic drinks at Karim's.
At Chor bizzare a dinner for two with beers will be around Rs.1500/- In Delhi bar liscense fee is very high so drinks cost a lot in bars & restaurants. A beer available for Rs.30 in a shop costs Rs.100 minimum in a bar. |

Not been to Karim's. sorry - but Chor Bizzare is well, well worth a visit.
The service can be a bit indifferent, especially if they have a tour group in, but the food is delicious and, in my opinion, not too oily.

Love Chor Bizarre!!
Chor Bizarre cost us around US25 with a jug of beer, heaps of appetisers & two mains with accompaniments in Dec 2004. Great fun, excellent service & we dined there twice, we loved it so much! The Hotel Broadway where it is situated is not as good as Chor Bizarre, but the location is very good.

The salad bar at this place is an antique Rolls! Try the crisp fried lotus stems with beer. Follow it up with Tabac Maz, for the main course have rice with Gustaba. End the meal with a cup of Khawa tea.

cheap as chips is Karims, a good meal, two main meals, for two with a couple of soft drinks (No Alcohol) is about 500IR or a bit less, cant remember the exact cost as its like everywhere else cheap. , just a tip when you are going there dont pass through the butchering area near the mosque it tends to put you off the food.

Yes, the cuisine of "Chor Bizarre" is delicious...
I payed there in September 2005 during my last evening in India: 1 Beer.................145 INR 1 Kashmiri Tarami...350 INR Sales Tax............72.75 INR .......................567,75 INR It was worth!!! Tip:If you be more thirsty... drink the first 5 beers in the bar "Thugs" upstairs!!! Between 2 - 7 pm is there "Happy Hour" and you get 1 beer for 70 INR... Cheers AndreasW |
