A new article entry has been added:

Bengali Bongkers over the Street Food in Kolkata

Quote:
Street food in India, is not for them eeuu's and euck'ies. If 'safe' = spotless utensils, bug-free environment, paper napkins and Bisleri water, it is best to avoid street food altogether. Street food in India, is more-oft-than-not... fresh, fresh, fresh. This is because of the daily turnover at the shacks/stalls. Also because, the regular clientele consists of more-or-less the same locals, day in and out - one cannot afford to lose a single man, woman or child to a bug. Street food hawkers are daily wage earners.

PPS How did you manage this?
Your profile page shows "Last Activity: Jun 1st, 2012 20:20" though you obviously posted this today - June 25. It's over a year since you've been here and your profile page is so surprised that it can't manage to record your presence.

Hi Brishti. It was brilliant ! But please include some more from the endless list of mind blowing street foods of Kolkata. People from other parts of india must get an idea. People always say 'if you talking about street food then its mumbai's pav bhaji or delhi's chat or parantha'. I'm sure people will go crazy when they will know what kolkata serves. It will take months to taste kolkata's street food (i'll include deckers lane also).Thankfully our foreign guests are more knowledgeable than our country mates in this matter. Kolkata street food simply rocks !!

You are not doing any thing wrong. Now whenever a video URL is inserted it will show the video.
