So we had the second Trivandrum meetup today (I am conveniently counting each meetup I am having in TVM as the only meetups ). The venue, like the previous meetup was coffee beanz and usha was the first to reach the spot after dropping her son for a competition. Then I joined in with my daughter who surprisingly, was not in, best of her wits. Usha had to call out a sleepy kiran from the bed and he too joined in. We started off through the usual topics of threads in IM, interesting instances from life, travel experiences (kiran is just back from an interestingly long India tour) and just about everything under the sky. Well one interesting topic was STALKING IM Members !!!

After a short time interval, Usha had to go to pick up her son and I had to drop my daughter home, despite being 'responsible' parents that we are, we are also hardcore IM'rs and were not willing to call it a day just yet. So we decided to attend to our parental duties and to reconvene in about half an hour time for a long drive (nataaaassssshhhaaaaa..... ). So we again met up and decided to head for a short picnic of sorts and went to Thiruvallam for a boat ride. But those boat guys were a lil too demanding and asked for Rs 600 for a short boat ride (little did they know that we all are ace travelers!!! ) We said salam and left the place to the picturesque "Lake and beach resort". Each one of us through our independent sources knew the owner/manager there and we got a royal welcome. We headed to the nearby beach and continued our discussions over the topics as described before.

After witnessing a picture perfect sunset and spending a good time there, we decided to head for Kovalam Eve's beach. Eve's beach after nightfall was a good experience and quite recommendable one too. We strolled through the walkways filled with shops competing for space, and made our way to German Bakery where we had a drink recommended by Kiran "Kerala Special". Even though I thought the season was over, the crowd at German bakery did not really fit in to the image of it being off season! After spending a considerable time there, trying to talk about the origins of indiamike (hoping that someone in the bakery would respond) and many other IM topics, we finally closed our rendezvous and started off back to the town. I picked up two books - "Travellers Health" and "The Bridge" - Iains Banks for ten rupees each and strolled back to the car and began the journey back home. Usha dropped me off near my place and we had a great meetup altogether.

Vinay -watch out, I am catching upon your record of multi-city meetups in short intervals... but still your record is a long shot for me.
Natasha, Radz and sggal, you were badly missed.

Yesterday we had a small IM meeting in Coffee Beanz in Trivandrum.
Usha, Kiranlal and me Seems that Trivandrum meetings are always three people. Finally I could attend a IM meeting after 10 months in Trivandrum...... We had a good time with ice tea, mocca beanz and coffee...

Afterwards I had a motorbike ride to Usha’s home. And as kiran didn't have more time, I could eat all the great dosas that she made alone….thanx, kiran! And also the best dhal I’ve ever had in my life! Usha's family is really nice… and they even speak some German! After the dinner she dropped me home at the other end of the city.

It was a really nice evening, I wouldn't mind to have that at least once a week.... even without the dosas

So if anybody is willing, let's meet again next week!

i will add bit more.....
ya It was a great meeting..Sudheer missed it.. and like we were telling it was always a threesome meeting in TVM.
As usual i send an sms to Federica asking her that weather she is still TVM and free in the weekend.. she send reply saying not sure about the weekend why not on friday. I said no prblm friday is okey with me. so we decided to meet at 6.30 sharp at coffee beanz.
I did send sms to Kiranlal and Sudheer..both were toooooo busy to reply..then i called kiran ..thanks got i was lucky to get him on the phone. He said he will be there by 6.30
While i was crossing the gate to the parking lot of the joint i saw a fair , tall beautiful lady walking towards main entrance. I guessed it has to be her ( since she told me that she is tall..it was easy guessing). I parked my TVS Victor and came inside and directly went to her and told i am usha. ..Then i was wondering where is kiran and called on his mobile (thank god he didnt forget about the meeting and slept this time .. ..sudheer i am sure u will remebr this episode?..). Kiran came inside in few min. Then we started talking all the time..
Started with indiamike, then about germany and about architects in India, low cost constructions to food to people staring u name it we covered lot of subjects. Ayurvedic treatments was one of kiran's fav inputs..
Then it was time for Kiran to go for an appointment (which he was already late ). Me and Federica came to my home in my "vayudoot" and had dinner and dropped federica in my Car.
We had a great time and felt sad that we couldnt make this meeting earlier.
Federica will be going bak to her hometown next month. B4 that hope to meet
few more times?..
Hey Sudheer i hope u really missd this meeting and we too missed you..(hope by now u r feeling bit jealous???) hhahaha

I miss the dossa

i dont understant why Ushachechi is feeding all IM memebrs with her dossa,
so next time we have to advertice it in this way ,

Im meet triavndrum followed by Ushachechi's dossa .

So is it raining in Trivandrum these days ??? Yes or No, I am going to be in town for from Saturday onwards...

So the legends of trivandrum, shall we have a meetup ?? Rumour is out that there is a IM bigwig currently in trivandrum on a stealth visit. If this member is there till the weekend, that can be the surprise of the day

Place and venue and date suggestions are welcome. I would be in city or kovalam from saturday to wednesday !!!
