Great Company and Wonderful Food!
So, four of us showed up at Saravanna Bhavan in the heart of Silicon Valley. Bijapuri phoned in his regrets, though I didn't get the message until I got home.
The food was wonderful! Dosas, vadas (? is that what they were?) and pooris and parathas with subji. Oh, and South Indian coffee... yummy! So, here's the photo of the humans. Sorry, we were too hungry to photograph the food, but it was very attractive. Left to right: WonderWomanUSA note IndiaMike T-shirt), Dzibead, RobotVoice, SitaParityaga |

Wonderful meetup, good food and conversation. It was great to meet the human faces from behind the screen. Thanks everyone for making the trip all the way down to the south bay. (I drove like 5 miles) If it's just me from down here next time we can make it closer to the city.
By the way, yes it was vada, the confusion arose because the restaurant does not serve masala vada during the lunchtime, so i got the regular ones instead ![]() |

I am so sorry to have been unable to meet.
Even if I had known about it (haven't visited since May 17th) it was the same day as my son's graduation from high school which was great! Sorry to have missed it.

That won't be the last meetup, Dreamer, so stay in touch with us, okay? We can always find an excuse to get together ... and anyone can propose a meetup!

I'm going to India for the first time in October, but I'll watch this thread for future meetups. I'm up in Davis, and it would be fun to meet other folks in the area, both before or after my trip.

hey maryah, i live in davis too
. There is a fundraiser dinner this saturday in town for SAHAYA, an aid organization based here in Davis. I can't make it but here is more info: It's at St. James on B St. and starts at 6pm on June 9th. I think the suggested donation for tix are $30, just go to their website sahaya.org and contact Koen about the event, i dont think they have a flier on it on their site. I leave for india in 10 days! but if you'd like to get together at all pm me...yay for people in davis! |

Anybody else out there from the SF Bay Area?
Glad to see Maryah join in. I'm making a list of folks so anyone who wants to organize the next meet-up can pm all the IM'rs in the area. |
