We're meeting to get to know one another face-to-face -- so if you're in Northern CA and want to get together with other folks who love India and have met on this forum, please join us.

I would love to come to the meetup if I can make it. I work on weekends so I will have to play it by ear. SVB sounds good to me, and is pretty much in my neighborhood.

also in Sunnyvale, Madras Cafe is my favorite! They are a little hole in the wall, kind of fast food-ish, you pay first etc. I absolutely love their food, their tea, and (although you said you are not a fan) they have the best dosa I have had anywhere, including India! Also the people working there are great.

SVB looks like the kind of place where we can put tables together, so don't think we can have too many people

1 pm is good.

True, but like bijapuri mentioned they get pretty crowded, so calling ahead for reservation would be a good idea.
I would have suggested Madras Cafe but they are just too small if we have a large group. Great food, but not the place to hang out.

p.s. Another good place for south indian food is Udupi Palace in Santa Clara.

anyone tried Priya in Berkeley? Although SVB would be the most ideal for yummy deliciousness...topped off with some jilebi.
