Hi~ it is possible I may go, I am looking into it and checking my calendar.

I just got home from a wonderful concert by Rabindra Goswami and Ramchandra Pandit, here in Sonoma county. I am now listening to their CD, awesome!

Exclamation Meetup in SFO area

Calling all IMers!

Our "annual" Meetup and Currydive this fall will be at 1pm on Saturday, 16 September at the legendary Shalimar Restaurant in Fremont, followed, for those who wish, with a screening of the latest SRK movie at the Naz8 Cinema at 4pm.

If you are coming, post here so that the hosts - Dzibead and Bijapuri- can steak out an appropriately sized table.

The following Links are provided for more info:

Naz8 Cinema:
http://naz8.com/fremontgtw/index.html

Shalimar info:
http://www.shalimarsf.com/fremont_menu.html

Come one, come all, Come by BART and it's a 1km walk, or we'll pick you up if needed!

The menu sounds very good!

Kipling and Mrs. K will be here from Oz that weekend, and I've written to ask them if they want to go. Let's hope they want to meet other Indiaphiles instead of looking at redwood trees! <_<

Alas, good news makes bad news . . .

Have been hired yet again by Freedom Foundation in Bangalore and am leaving on Labor day nite! So I will miss the meetup, but Dzibead and WWUSA are the steering committee as of now.
bon apetit!

have a blast, guys!
only 2 more sleeps b4 i have toi survive a few days in BKK on way to Myanmar.I've always felt there are 2 basic types of traveler to Asia- those that love BKK and all that, and detest India, and those that are stage 4 addicted to India and got no use for Thailand. Am I the only one out there that goes thru massive Fear and Loathing in that town?
