Ummm... yes. The same thing happened the last time, but THAT time it was my sister's birthday. Fortunately, I was able to attend. This time, though, I'm done.
It's always darkest before it goes completely black.
I had a similar with the ex-gf a couple of years back...
Good news is I remember its your birthday on Saturday: Bad news is I didn't remember that a few weeks back when I agreed to play in a concert that evening. She wasn't pleased.

2/11 is fine for me. Lunch would be preferable, but I could make dinner if that turns out to be the best option for everyone.

february 11th, then?
feb 11 seems to work for all who've weighed in thus far, with a preference expressed for lunch. i checked zagat's and delhi palace apparently serves continuously on sundays. i'll suggest 2, with the qualifier that i don't much care what time, so long as i'm back in manhattan reasonably early enough to resume my pre-departure panic...er....i mean, packing.

my pre departure checklist
passport
ticket
wallet/money
keys
wife (if applicable)
rest is manageable, though I did spend 24 hours in Thailand once getting a shaving kit.

I don't think I've ever actually taken tickets from home - I've only used etickets and I don't print them before I leave. You don't even need keys either, if someone will be there to let you in when you return (and you take public transportation to the airport). Wife I can see, when applicable.
You'd leave your luggage?

that checklist is the one you can't live (or leave
) without. the keys meant baggage keys, actually. you can live without baggage. Ive had mine lost twice and delayed a half dozen times.
Sorry I will miss it. I've relocated to Portland, Oregon.
If you want paan I recommend the guy in the little window next to Dimple on 73rd St. at 37th Ave. He is the best I've found in New York.
Also on that block, but on the 37th Ave side is Rajbhog. They make really good kulfi, maybe you don't want that at this time of year, but file it away for the summer. They also have a really nice sampling of Gujarati dishes –*try the patra, mmmm. They also have paani puris which are quite tasty.
Certainly for sweets I recommend Dehli palace sweets.
If you want to have a bit of a pakistani experience I recommend Kababish (at the corner of 74th Street and 37th road for the sikh kababs. For something a bit more unusual I recommend the Bihari kabab at the Kabab king – on the corner of 73rd Street and 37th road.
Its only been two weeks but I really miss my old neighborhood.
Have fun all y'all.
