Keshava, just by way of reminder, although I'm on the list posted earlier up this thread, I'm actually a mere "tentative" by necessity, for the reasons I shared with you by PM. I'll try to stay on top of evolving plans here, and will PM you if/when I can join you last minute. Hopefully, I can make the 17th.

I (somewhat shoddily) hosted Bruce3404 and Mrs. Bruce3404 for ice-cube-less tea on Sunday before the Ray film festival showing, and it was an absolute pleasure. I hope they'll be able to join a NYC meet-up before heading back to the west coast. The gathering would be greatly enriched for it.

For Folks coming from other parts of the Tri-state area: On that Sunday, the 17th, UWS & CPW will be blocked/and traffic rerouted due to Aids Walkathon and the Lincoln tunnel traffic might be rerouted because of the biggest annual Food Festival of NYC - The 9th Ave International Food Festival. which blocks off vehicular traffic from 57th to 37th St. on 9th Ave.

What to do? How long will you be in India this time? Me and the wife are planning to return mid-September for Durga Puja. I am working on a new book on Neem Karoli Baba and will be passing through Delhi on my way up to Kainchi in the Kathkodam - Nainital region to do interviews for the book.
