Nice to see the 4th coming along as well, Holi & others

With regards to (on the 9th):

I figured I'd check in Lonely Planet, and it's in there. So coming from the station, it is on Main Bazaar itself, but at the far end of it (or of its touristy part anyway, the street itself may well continue for longer), to your right hand side. This is a little past Nehru Bazaar, where I believe the vegetable market is. Just past a side street called Rajguru Rd., and a little before Chitragupta Rd. then. And a little past the Hare Krishna, Ajay, and Hare Rama Guesthouses, which some of us may know. Should be about a 20-minutes' walk from the station I guess, if even that, and off the top of my head (it's been a while).

Paharganj is sort of mid-way between Old Delhi to the north and Connaught Place to the south, perhaps a half-hour's walk from either if even that again, or a short autorickshaw ride then.

So the latest headcount, btw shall we say meet at 19:00 indeed, then after 23:00 we just see what we do, so people should show up before it? (Or should we make that 22:00 rather, or... I read here the Metropolis closes at 11 PM anyway, if that is still correct. I can be there from a little before 19:00:

* RK Ashram marg metro station is close to Gol Market. Last time I parked at the Connaught place outer circle near the petrol station near Panchkuain road origin and took an autorickshaw from there.

* Coming from New Delhi Railway Station, it is on Main Bazaar itself, but at the far end of it (or of its touristy part anyway, the street itself may well continue for longer), to your right hand side. This is a little past Nehru Bazaar, where I believe the vegetable market is. Just past a side street called Rajguru Rd., and a little before Chitragupta Rd. then. I called Metropolis now and have asked Mr.Inder at the desk to keep the enclosed space on rooftop for us and to put heaters/blowers. It will be in the name of Indiamike. Mach, you might be the first to reach. You may assess the weather conditions and take a spot decision. If it is too cold you may shift the venue to their basement restaurant/bar. I haven't seen the basement so no idea what it looks like.
Alone I walked. Strangers joined in. We became a caravan.

Thanks Labrol...

Just a suggestion...
The Roof Top should be good...
The cold weather will probably only add to the charm...!

Also, how about starting a bit earlier than 1900 hrs or would that be too early...?

Also, for the convenience of the IMers using the Metro to commute, I'm copying the link for the last Metro timings...

http://www.delhimetrorail.com/commut...in-details.pdf

Not too sure what might be a less worse option...
Leaving at 10.30 p.m. to catch the last Metro and missing all the later action...
Or, driving with just a couple of drinks and risk the wrath of the Delhi cops...

Any Godsend teetotaller IMer from Noida who also happens to be attending the Jan. 9th Meet-up...??????

Cheers...!

Cheers guys. I plan to be there a little before yes, then we'll just see what's what. Labrol, (many) thanks again for tying it all together. You're a star.

If people want to be there earlier, that's fine by me as well. I could then again be there a little before. On second thought, I guess the place has now been ordered for 19:00, so maybe best to stick to that. Should give people a chance to wrap up their day's doings, too.

I expect to drop a final headcount on my part & directions and stuff here tomorrow (and thanks for those handy links), then after that I can't say if I'll log in again before Saturday even. So, it'll be over & out for me then
