Though I dont work early in the day but I like to keep the Sunday to myself. Saturday is definitely more preferred.

Btw, we should have a backup plan incase there is some last minute changes in Nikhil's travel plans.

Ha! It was too good to be true - thinking the date and venue was decided so quickly..

Looks like Sunday is not a popular day for a few of us.
It seems that most people were keen on the 3rd week of July a
as the maximum amount of people would be in town.
How about the 18th? (which is a Saturday) Nikhil, are you
opposed to that day, (if you are in town)?

Back up plan could be the Jangpura house - if that offer still stands...does it?

Considering it's 3-4 weeks away, I still think we're doing pretty good.

The date has tentatively been narrowed down to July 17th/18th, which is the third Fri/Sat in July.

And venue has been narrowed down to Nikhil's house in E. Delhi or Rugs' house in Jangpura.

Thoughts?

There's no stress we have enough time... remember you can't please everyone all the time. Lets get closer to the date and take a call .. I think Saturday the 18th or 25th would be the more acceptable dates.

This does seem to be becoming massively over-engineered!

It's just a social meet up for a drink people! It really doesn't matter if everyone can make it or not.

If some people care about whether they meet at a public or private place, then just have both options! It really doesn't matter whether some or all can make both - it's only a social drink!

People should just stick a date they are going out for a drink and where, and say people are welcome to join them if they want.

Cachaca - for drinking. Whenever, wherever, with whoever.

LOL Cachaca ... Its just the usual crazyness .. ignore it .. the meetup will go off just fine .. with most landing up!

Well then I am not too far .. just a short haul to Preet Vihar, and if you don't want to drive the metro comes fairly close
