Here's a general map giving the location of Defence Colony for those who are not too sure . There are multiple options to get here and i think it would be rather crude if i put down each direction so if anyone wants to know from a particular place or area just post/ Pm me and ill give the details.

BB, Shanks, Solo - you guys know the place.

Once you get to the defence colony market just ask for Swagath..everyone knows where it is. As a reference its towards the right of Sagar.

There is ample parking available but at that time you might not find any inside the market so simply park outside. Irrespective of where you park Swagath will not be more than a 1 minute walk.

Since Dave and Helen have to catch a train from New Delhi Railway Station after the meeting i think its a good idea to stay close to the station. So paharganj sounds great to me.
But lets wait what they say about it.

Ahem..I have the same question, what is wrong with Pahargunj?? Not that I am suggesting that we should meet there anytime soon, but just curious why such strong repulsion!

Spent a major part of the day trying to fight for the reputation of Paharganj on another thread...! And it was a Solo fight...!

Paharganj :

1. No Parking Space.
2. Not many Delhiites would know about the status of the 'eligible' places for the meetup.
3. For me its a Non-Delhi in center of Delhi.
4. Overall uncomfortable vibes.

however that doesn't stop us from meeting in CP..

My issues with Paharganj are nothing related to status, eligibility but purely that i don't like the place , and i agree with Shanks on points 1,3 and 4.

Its not Delhi for me either.The logic of it being close to central Delhi, value for money etc are all fine but at the end of the day i am a local, there's nothing enchanting about the place. Its cheap and along with that comes seediness which i can do without...

...but having said that if i need to go there then i will...be it for work, an Indiamike meetup or something else but that does not mean i am ok with the place.

Thats true..I have dropped several IM member after the meetup on various occasions, infact I have some relatives staying in the area too. But its the last place in Delhi that I would like to be at...
