Excellent write-up Indo, and thanks for the pics. I'm glad you liked the city as much (isn't there a pic of us by the Dom as well?)Which we also got to see, from the outside and inside, impressive building. There's a separate tower and church, which we learned was caused by the church's nave having been blown away by a hurricane in the 1600's or thereabouts. Too bad about the boat indeed, hey, no one told us they stopped running so early! Next time, kids! Yes, I had an excellent day, and those kids sure took to the rest of the crew without much ado. I could've sworn IndoJingai had found himself a new career as a nanny Hanging around Utrecht for a bit again was also fun.Sure calls for a reprise, in one town or another! Thanks everyone for being there, and for excellent company, and be safe on all your further peregrinations. Cheers!

It was a really enjoyable evening/night. The kids made it extra special with all their games, drawings, and jokes.
Hazel, do you have a possibility to put up your pics as well? Maybe especially the one with tongues sticking out Thanks all for a great day! |

Nice to read the write-up and see the pics.
Kind-of odd to see mr and Mrs Mirjamd there --- rather than here!

Ta, Brishti
Those kids were the best, yes. Hans showed up later & I guess no one thought of taking any more pictures Next time! ![]() I hope Zoeper is alright btw. Where were you, man? And did Haze get home well? Had some event going this weekend I think, hope she'll call in later. And what ever happened to Joph? One of us thought he might be on the road anyway. |

Ah! Well, that's a fine excuse, and a sign of life, if ever I heard one
![]() Thanks for calling in! Next meet should be in the making as we speak. (Well, exaggerating, as usual. But there were the usual suggestions of we should do that again soon. As I'm sure we will. Rotterdam? IJmuiden? A simple cafe in Amsterdam? <all of us little children go, Yes, please!!!> Trying hard to beat Delhi, y'know ) |

*Jumps up and down: Yes, please!!!! Let's do, let's do let's do!
Rotterdam is fine by me, I kinda know my way around there anyway. Ijmuiden? As long as I don't have to eat hearring (haring ?) Amsterdam is also fine (nowadays I know where to park affordably, so that's no issue anymore) Looking at the pictures and the posts,I guess I missed bigtime. BTW: Maybe I get myself a short trip (3 weeks orso) to India. But that depends on my girls trip to Peru (If that is going to be cancelled due too circumstances, we go to India). Quote:

hey! <waving madly @ all the Dutch Indiamikers> I'm here!! I just haven´t managed to get back online since Saturday. Like everyone else has said, we had a great day on Friday. Indiamikers are lovely people / as if you didn´t know that already.
![]() As soon as I figure out how to upload photos, I´ll post them here / but it might be the end of the week when we´re back in Ireland before I do. Cheers! Haze PS Mach - you´re right, IJ has definitely found his true calling as a nanny. We´re in negotiations at the moment.....but I´m not sure I can afford him. ![]() |

Heheh. I'd have those kids smile at him one more time & he'll come around.
(btw Hans & Mrs. Hans! Give your kids a hug of mine too, will ya! I still hear one of them going "flap flap flap" being carried over the street posts. And the other one, such a serious young fellow, I noticed it the moment we shook hands. But most sincere, yes. Exceptional. Did those toy planes work out?) And btw Haze, there should be the cutest pic of me with both your girls on my lap by the pool table. We'll get it to you somehow. The elder one was the first in the garden I think, and so we waved, and that did it I guess. |

Aha... nanny work it is then. I will name my place, 'The IM Kindergarten'
![]() Yo Mac.. lets beat Delhi's ass ![]() Haze, given that those smiles and giggles will be part of the job .. I'll do it for half a roti. Zoeper, R'dam is a cool place for a meetup, very different from A'dam. I saw the air race a few weeks ago over there. Oh and if you bug the Llama a lot it will throw water on you!

The meet worked out well for the kids. Marit is wearing her saree a lot. Frank now also wants to return to India and Mrs D. is on the verge of giving in (she still remembers some of the illness of the kids the last time). Problem is that the school holidays are either to short or in the wrong period of the year (July-August).
Frank has all his planes nicely built and aligned in his room. I'm allowed to rent one once in a while. Wouldn't mind a meeting in the Hague or Sweet Lake City. Hans |
