Mumbai IM Meetup - December 2006

So when are we meeting in Mumbai this December for yet another nice IM meetup?

Well, I got my flight rescheduled to 6th December from 11th. But sadly I am free only on 7 and 8th. However if things can be managed the following weekend - 9/10, will definitely give it a try as I wil be in the city.

Let the possible dates come out...we can then decide accordingly...

EDIT: Fellow non-Mumbai IMers lingering around Mumbai in December can drop in ur time of presence so that a date can be fixed to accommodate as many as possible. :)

I will be there in Mumbai on 7th... if its ur taste AND if I get in touch with my friends there, you can hook up for a short outing in the woods near mumbai on 7 or 8th. We can have drinks on our way back!


and that meetup with be a bigger one with lots coming in.....am sure u will enjoy it...i see poor chances of me making it...anyways...

What is the likely venue for the meet?

ummmm......most probably somewhere in South Mumbai...but hey if you in Mumbai you can catch the guys there, anywhere the venue be....its not as big a city as Delhi :)

Well I certainly don't have anything to contribute as far venue, I'm scared to leave my hotel without my driver. Just tell me where to be and I'll be there!

Then I think its time for you to get out on some local public buses ;) I am sure u will have a good experince feeling India. PM me ur contact nos. Will call ya when I reach Mumbai and have a fixed plan about 7/8th.

well just to clarify ... the one I am talking is just a casual meet probably only two of us IMers(its a weekday so doutful of others) and some of my other friends......yes...over drinks, of course!

there will be a proper IM meetup sometime in December for sure. You can enjoy that as well.

btw I do not believe Aadil,Anil,other Mumbai IMers have not seen this thread... :surprised:

Yes, I am quite interested in this. It will be a first time for me too. Anytime, between Sept 1-9 is perfect for me. Any day is OK with me, but perhaps working people might prefer a friday or saturday evening? I live in Thane ... any mid-town or central or western suburb restaurant is fine with me .... KS

As KS put it.. i think Friday evening would be ideal to most ..say Bandra, that would be center to most of us i guess.

I am interested to join the meet. Any day in September is fine with me. I will, however, suggest to avoid Sept.3-4 (Krishna Janmashthmi) and Sept,14-16 (Ganesh festival). Any place in western suburbs and mid-town will be fine with me.

Friday evening is fine for me too.
However from Sept. 8 to Sept. 15 th our Jain Paryushan are there so during this time not possible.
May be Sept. 7 th seems good, it's a friday.

Reg. location any central place is fine. Bandra, Ghatkopar etc.,

Let other members join in & then we can final the date.

Many places there... i like Madras Cafe...

So far i have come for 2 or 3 IM meetups incl a trek .... I prefer to go on a trek .... but if the date and time suits me i don't mind coming to a general meetup as well.

Some of my suburban friends do not mind meetup near Churchgate or VT coz of "starting station" convenience. (just a thought)

If i have the time i can come anywhere... even Vashi.

Lets see.... i will call up Anilbhai to see how is he predisposed.

A new member, I am game. I would also prefer trek :)

Any Saturday or Sunday is fine. Location is not a constraint if its not a trek.
