@KS_bluechip Would love to meet someday. Thane is just too far from here. Can't make it this time. Let us meet someday/somewhere in town? PLUR
Me also cannot make it to Thane on a weekday at 5
Can we try for another meet this week - late Friday evening somewhere mid-town? I suppose the usual place at King's circle? I know we didnt get enough response last week, but we could see if there is interest this week. Still waiting for my first IM meet..

KS, Atul (solotrekker) and myself meet at 5pm at Alok. Had a wonderful talk about Atul's various treks and especially his Kailash Mansarovar yatra organized with GOI. Both KS and myself shared our previous treks and future treks plans. Accompanying our talks were Idlis, Dosa's, Wadas and Coffees !

! But KS Sir,nothing on Western line
? Evening meetup would be a bit difficult for me to attend. Someday a meetup over brunch would be interesting. snonymous may also like to join then? Ronak seems to be away right now!

Naveena, given Mumbai's linear geography and commuting issues, and Mumbaikar's workaholic habits it becomes very difficult to organize a Meetup taking everybody's convenience into account. Why don't you take the lead and set up a brunch meet-up in a Western suburb location (or anywhere convenient to you and Snonymous) .. and just announce the venue/date/time here on this thread, as a prefixed event? ... and then see who else wants to join for that. If its a weekend a few others may join too?
I will try my best to attend. I think SK might attend if it is western suburb. Both of us are retired "house-husbands" so no work related issues for us (except house work)
.

Will try to do it sometime soon - hopefully, KS Sir.

Oh, we all know how serious you are about it
! Hi KS & Amar..
Thanks a ton for organizing the Meet-up at such short notice.. It sure was a pleasure meeting you both..
Would have definitely loved to meet up with more Mumbai IMers, but I can well imagine the logistics involved are quite challenging..
But thanks to your efforts, we did meet..!
Just last weekend, I attended a meet-up in Bangalore, and now one in Bombay city.. And both had a total of 3 IMers each..!
Maybe I'll now get inspired to have an IM meet-up in New Delhi soon too..!
Best wishes to you both..
And to all other Mumbai IMers too, many of whom I have interacted with over the years..
Cheers..!

Waterfall trek without Rains
The rains have somewhat stopped and all our reservoirs are full. Thank you God!
How about doing a one-day trek to a waterfall? The last one i'd suggested to Tungareshwar also has a waterfall, albeit, a small one. There is another largish waterfall near Igatpuri, which looks quite fearsome during the monsoon........ but now is very inviting because the water volume has lessened. There is one waterfall inside S.G.National Park, but it needs actual rain to keep it alive (now there will be a small trickle of water which reamins till Feb). There is one near Karjat, which will be the same: just a trickle.....
How about Tungareshwar or Igatpuri? I am free and willing on Tuesday 2nd October (Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti Public Holiday) and Sunday 14th October 2012. Anyone interested?
