Mumbai Meetups

Hi Guys,

21 st August is fine with me. But I will not be able to eat there as our Jain Paryushan will be going on & I don't eat outside food during this time plus I don't eat food after sunset. Count me in for the meet up but not for the eat up.

Seems all well for 21st !! So 21st Friday 7:30pm it is ! Cafe Mysore, Matunga.

newcomers please check the previous post for few pictures of us. If we are not standing outside we will be sitting inside for sure

DIRECTIONS TO CAFE MYSORE, KING'S CIRCLE:

Cafe Mysore is at King's Circle, three bus stops from Dadar TT Circle (roundabout)... that's about it.

HOW TO reach King's Circle

BY TRAIN Via CENTRAL RAILWAY FROM CST (old Victoria Terminus) CATCH a SLOW TRAIN
Boarding station is CST....
then... Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Byculla, Chinchpokli, Currey Road, Lower Parel, Dadar, Matunga (Central Railway). Disembark at Matunga and walk to King's Circle in five minutes.

The train journey will take around 23 to 25 minutes. If you stand facing the direction that the train is heading towards... please stand towards the Right hand side door of the train after Dadar, else you may not be able to get down from the train.

I dare not take the sardine-packed-train at this hour, but have no choice. The main road from CST to King's Circle has only three and a half driving lanes (instead of the usual six). Construction of the Metro Rail is going on. So Road journey is a double whammy.

For those who have the time, take an air-conditioned taxi from CST to King's Circle, (Rs 140 non aircon cab, 25 percent more for aircon, 40 percent more for Meru dial a cab) This is the best of all these options (slow but comfy).

Those who wish to come from Churchgate via Western Railway may get off at Matunga Road Rail station (again after Dadar) Central Rail has named it Matunga & Western Rail has named it Matunga Road. They are both different places connected by a seven minute Rail Bridge Walk. This Railway Bridge Passes over a huge Railway Workshop.

Hi Mikers - So sad I will miss the meet-up! I leave mumbai tomorrow evening. I have been living in Chennai and went to a meet up there - really great people. I am moving to Mumbai in the next few weeks, so I will watch for another meet-up. In the meantime if anyone is interested in doing coffee sometime, let me know!
