Oyar, another option would be via Dharavi. You pass BKC onwards to Dharavi you get out at Sion Stn after which onwards to Sion Circle and then to Matunga Stn. If you are new i suggest you opt for the route mentioned by you. 7:30 Fri 14th. Cafe Mysor !

Good route, along the main highway.

Dharavi route of Amar is complicated somewhat. Don't take it. Parking wise, ask Amar. He gets his driver to park [or NOT park][and keep going around in circles]

Parking is a big hassle. DONT get your car, take a taxi. Or better still, take a train. From Bandra station, buy a return ticket to Kings Circle station. Take a harbour line train from platform no 6 in the direction of CST(harbour). next station is Mahim. After that is King's Circle Station. Get down. (Its just a six minute train ride.) Walk in four mins to Kings Circle road intersection while keeping to the right side of the road.

You will come to Cafe Mysore in five minutes.

Ok all set for Meet on 14th evening then?

I am planning to reach Matunga Station at 6:00PM and visit Avi-Industries Shop (that Avid_trekker talked about) to see if I can get some trekking stuff (particularly a new pair of trekking shoes). Anybody else interested? Come to that shop earlier and we can walk down to mysore Cafe by 7:00PM.

SK if you are attending .... do bring that Bhutan book. Thanks.

- KS

Cafe Mysore itself is a landmark on the King's Circle road junction

Anyone will direct you. Once you are at the circle, you will discover it without asking anyone !

Pics from Mumbai Meet-Up 14th March 2008

There were 7 of us at Mumbai Meetup at Mysore cafe yesterday.

One of the popular item we ate was Khotte (Idli steamed in Jackfruit leaf) is also featured in the pics below (L to R) Khotte-as served, Khotte-opened & ready to eat!

Maybe, I should have taken pics of the Neer-Dosai too .... The Rasam-Vada may not have much picture-appeal, but the taste was really awesome
