Amar,
Pictures come out well. Can anyone (in the meet-up) tell me the Name of the Idli-steamed-in-Jackfruit-leaf item we ate? Was trying to tell my wife that next time we go to King's Circle, Matunga, we must have that ...but couldnt remember the name ... KS

The idlis steamed in jackfruits leaves are breakfast item in Udipi and Mangalore districts. We in our house call it Khotte. The idli batter is steamed in the jackfruit leaves basket made from four leaves - more or less of equal size - jointed by sharp pins made up from bamboo.

Not sure but I guess in hotels this item may be listed in menu card as Ittu or simply Jackfruit Leaves Idlis .

@KS

I think it was spelled khottu on the menu - an excellent dish.

I really enjoyed the evening, thanks to you all.
