Mumbai Meetups

Hi,

8th feb sounds cool, we would be there too,

As the kalaghoda fest is on, should we meet a bit closer to that, so that others can breeze thru the same.

pls suggest some venue

near kalaghoda There are few choices.

If we do the suburbs...
the suggestions are
there is a udipi place in BANDRA W called some name starting from " SAI" bang opposite Bandra Station behind Canara Bank ATM.
the plus point they have open area under the marque. their food is amazing.. especially SET DOSA.

The other places are in DADAR.. near the SENA BHAVAN there is an air conditioned diagonally opposite to the SENA BHAVAN. there are few others down the road, which are non ac but have all the maharastrian specialities like kothambir wade, Thali peet, the Piyush drink.

We could meet at SENA BHAVAN at walk down.

youll pick and choose...amarbhai,ronakbhai and maunish bhai along with KS

Well 8th sound fine to me...second KS suggestion to old haunts ! With avid coming i am sure we can try something new else we are stuck with known items only ...

Sorry Guys was not able to check IM during past 3 - 4 days.

So 8 th Feb. Friday is fixed.
I think majority favours our old joints Madras Cafe or Mysore Cafe at Matunga. So this time we will stick to it. Personally I favour Mysore Cafe as more Jain variety is available there as compared to Madras Cafe, but we meet up at Madras Cafe & then let Avid decide where to go as he is an expert in this matter.

Avid, What about Anilbhai, have you contacted him ?

Travelingthali, Near by Kalaghoda would have been a good place to meet up, but for travelling convenience of all members we are meeting up at a central location. See you there.

You will need lots of hot Rasam Wadas and many cups of filter coffee to withstand the cold evening as BBC has forecasted the minimum temperature of 8 degree C. for Thursday-Friday in Mumbai

There is some fair going on at Kala ghoda. If you have the time, go visit it.

Fine 8th Friday Cafe Madras 7:30pm ....!!!

The Kalaghoda festival is on and it is a worth visit. Do check either the web site or times of india newspaper for daily programs. Neat food and home decor / painting / artist stands are also on display/sale. Worth a visit !
