I'd be interested too. Planning a trip for a month in March/April from Bangalore to Mumbai via Coorg,Hassan, Mangalore, Udupi, Gokarna, Goa, Hampi, Badami.

I got no response when I tried to organise a meetup a few years ago. Had forgotten I was still registered to get postings from the old thread, so only came across your postings by getting notice of the thread continuing! Am still a passionate Indiaphile & planning a short trip later this year...so would love to talk India with fellow IndiaMikers.

I'm back from India next month and will be around Melbourne for a while. Would like to meet up.

How about a Saturday arvo in February inner city? I'll be off for my 7th trip June/July - Trichy across to Cochin...Any preferences - north, south, west, east of city?

A Saturday in February sounds good. A central location might be best if people are coming from different directions.

How about Zam Zam in Lonsdale St just up from Elizabeth St? It's Malaysian Indian, but they do reasonable Indian drinks, sweets, snacks or meals. Its a casual cafeteria sort of place that would suit a drop in sort of thing

Really happy to see the idea has taken off. Sundays in Feb would be preferable for me,or Saturday 20th Feb, as I have to work all day 2 other Saturdays, & am in Canberra the other weekend! Would hate to miss out:seems like years since waiting for this to happen....hey wait!...it has been years.
