Thanks KK for the info. I would get in touch with them. I would be reaching Manali in the evening of 21st May to start Manali-Leh on 23rd May.

Ciao... I am just itching to go.

Hi Styler,

I checked into Sunshine Guest House today. Writing this from the balcony which has amazing view of Snow capped mountain before me + the town landscape. Silence all around, which is enchanting.

And yes, it is Rs.350 per day, which is nothing but steal. Great place for anyone to stay.

Thanks for your recommendation, Styler.

Regards
Abhay

Hi Abhay,

Great, a friend of mine called Brin is also staying in one of the rooms of the upper floor with the balcony in Sunshine Guest House. Since there are only 2 rooms there i guess both of you have one room.

Styler.

Hi Styler,

We are 5 friends who have occupied both the upper rooms. I do not see anybody in the ground floor rooms as well. Checked with guest housee guys about Brin but apparently they are not aware. Owner, Dharamchandji, appears to be a nice old man.

Today we had a great 3.5 Kms of white water rafting at Raisen. It just froze us and was whole lot of fun.

I am writing this from Balcony. Weather is getting bad and mountain peaks are no longer clear but completely hazy. Its been relatively cooler and windy over the day in the town and now it is drizzling. I guess, not a good weather up hills. Hope it clears in few hours.

We hit Manali-Leh road on my Innova tomorrow 5:00AM. Hope weather clears for the travel. However, looking at weather, with whatever little I know of, its BAD weather on mountains.

Bye for now, I am itching to............go.

Ciao,
Abhay

It's just May....generally it opens by the end of June. Surprised to see it open this early.

BTW nice picture of Rohatang snow, Styler!

Manali Hotel

Dear Friends
I am travelling to Manali in between 10th & 15th June. And the Hotel rates must be very high at that time. I read about the post of the Guest House with rooms costing Rs 350 only per day. Is it possible to book the rooms in advance over phone? Has anyone done it yet?

Regards
Subho

Hi Shubo,

All it requires is a little effort. At least go through this entire thread before asking. All the information that you ask for is available in the previous posts in this thread itself. KulluKid has evan posted a link with pictures...If you can't make a little effort i don't think anybody can help you.
