Sorry, but not being a drinker I can't help. Golden Fleece (Capel Road, I think) near Wanstead Flats is quite nice and has a garden, but is about 15 minutes walk away.

Hmmm I know my sense of humour doesn't travel well outside the UK, but this is a new low.

Nick, I've just give up booze, day 6 of my new life, so could do with the company in the pub.

Gosh! Well, I do drink, but little and rarely. Anyway, sounds like I can hardly refuse, at least for the pre-eating session.

Golden Fleece in Capel road could be quite nice if the weather is OK: they have a big garden. It is close to Manor Park Station, but getting a bit far away from tube stations. It is also close to the 25 and 86 bus routes.

Serious boozing, by those so inclined, had better wait until after dinner anyway: I don't think a boozy bunch would be very welcome as it is not at all a Vindaloo and 5 pints place

Oh, and for those who are not into strippers ---there are one or two "saunas" in the area
