Good to see everyone last night - once we could each squeeze ourselves in through the doors and the swarming masses - great food though, well worth the wait, and the smoke in our eyes

Last night was enjoyable and I'm glad that I managed to catch my coach home...with a minute to spare
I couldn't believe how busy Tayyabs was, so much busier than before. How many people were waiting in line for a table at 7:30pm? 15? 20? 25?
And this on top of a completely full restaurant.
I thought the food was spot on although I don't think I'll order lamb-chop curry again. Was that what it was? Masala Fish, Lamb Chops and Sheekh kebab were excellent. The Dry Meat was superb but you'd think they could come up with a better name.
It cost me less to a do a six-hour round trip to London (£14 return + £6 tube) and have a two/three course curry (£12), than if I'd gone to my local. That's just bizarre.
Really nice meeting you all, sorry I had to rush off but it was lucky I did.

Yes, I agree it is fun to meet up people who have India in their blood. If somebody want to meet up in Cochin on 19.th December 2010 it could be interesting. I know it is not tomorrow but I will be there.
Would anyone be up for another London meet in the next few weeks?
I'm looking for an excuse to go to one of the Kerala Group restaurants (mostly South West London, but Krishna's Inn in Bristol where we had an IM meet a couple of years ago is part of the same group). I'm starting to plan a trip to India for November, including to Kerala, and I'd be up for a masala dosa and rasam, if others would be.

Dosas available in Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurants in East Ham and Wembley, also, as alternative areas to consider. East Ham probably has the biggest choice. Visit the Murugan temple while there: London's Dravidian-style temple!

Yeap am up for it. Am from North London and a regular place that I go for Masala Dosa and Rasam is Chennai Spice in Edmonton. Just a suggestion however am open to ideas..
"As I lay there gazing at the night sky, dumbstruck by the awesome beauty of the heavens, I couldn't help but ask myself.....
Where the f**k has my tent gone?"

It appears all corners of London are awash with rasam and dosas - North (Edmonton), South (Tooting), East (East Ham), North West (Wembley) and South West (Raynes Park, Twickenham, East Molesey - see http://www.keralagroup.co.uk/index.html).
Looks like I can happily eat my way round South India in London between now and November when I plan to go to Kerala.
For next London IM meet, my preference is central or South West London.
Anyone know if there is a nice pub near either Pallavi (Twickenham), Cocum (Raynes Park), Cocum (East Molesey)or Radhakrishna Bhavan (Tooting)? The restaurants close at 3 so we might want to move on for a drink afterwards.
Need to pick a date - was proposing a Saturday lunchtime.
Any preference from 22 or 29 January or 5 February?
