I'll do my best to make 4th September, though it might not be easy to get down to London after work on a Friday.

Does anyone have a sofa or bit of floor around there that I could sleep on? I am house trained. Existing members only please!

Sorry folks, forget about planning anything around me, I just ran it past my girlfriend, and I'm sorry to say she has made other plans for us that night, meeting some old friends. I'm gonna try over the weekend to change her mind, but like I said, go ahead and plan without me for the moment. Sorry Steven, Karuna and others, would've been great to meet you all, but probably not this time.

I'll be in London next weekend. Any takers for a pint or five?
(I didn't mean what I said above, honest!)

Yes I think somewhere with better travel connections would be better.
Southall is great for food(I'm a Southall boy myself). But from where I live and work it is a long commute. Travel convenience is important to be fair to as many people as possible.

Unfortunately it never materialised. However, i think a London Meetup is well overdue. Anyone interested? Lets hook up before Christmas.

Any dates? Any venue? And most importantly, who's joining us?

Count me in.

How about Mid November ?
Venue: A pub, in central London
http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs...osts/Fitzrovia

Or does it have to be somewhere that serves Indian food ?
The main Indian centres are:
Southall, Tooting (south London)
Wembley (NW London)

Which makes transport difficult.

no, you have Green street in Forest Gate or The Aldgate area. Last time there was a meetup that I attened we ended up in Tayyabs in Whitechapel. I go there quite often, a very nice restuarant.

(Hello Beena, have you finally landed up back in London?)

Not to mention East Ham (Better for Southern than Green St) and Wembley.

Oh... Old_Boots already mentioned Wembley.

Yes Nick it's back to reality for me. I'm back at my desk job and feel like a grouded jetlite plane . Got back on the first of september and started work 6 days later. Ouch!

Yes East Ham is good too, I had a nice masala dosa there the other day for 1 pound 50.
