London Meetups

Hi all,

Am up for a London meetup, September or even early is fine but may not able to make it on a Friday, how about over the weekend....say Saturday evening?

I know one good South Indian food place in Edmonton if anyone is up for it or Wembley or Southall where there are vast number of Indian places to go to.

Looks like I might be in London some time in May/June after all.

The last week of May, if this trip happens, I will be in Cornwall, for a few days before that, and maybe a couple of weeks after, I should be in London.

If anyone fancies a dosa

When you plan post it .Now in east london we got shops with dosa and southindian food so willbe no problem for your dosa .
Also when you come here and going to cornwall for your train tickets keep looking on martinstips.com for cheap train ticket just incase if you need some time really cheap ticket then normal ticket. if you want link tell me i will post here some stuff is very good there for info and he gives tips for itv and other channels.

Jaws, thanks for the travel hint. I'll be getting a lift down to Cornwall, I'll need to get back to London. I'm going to check prices, and also see how the new Newquay/London City flights compare for cost.

I used to live in Forest Gate, then Manor Park, so I know the East London dosa scene well

jaws; when I visit now, I stay with a friend in Highgate --- but a visit to East Ham is certainly on the cards. The Oyster card, probably!

I will be in London for a month from 18th of May so would be really great if we could meet have a meet up during that time. Would also love to show pictures and share my expereinces of my travels to the North East.

Jaws thanks a lot for the link but I will be staying at my fiance' place. Am actually coming there to spend some time with her. Would it be more preferable to meet on a weekend or would people prefer to meet on a Friday, then we can decide the dates mutually .

Week days in eve after 6.30 will be ok. remind me next week and will plan mutual dates. are you ok with aldgate east station venue. are you ok with non veg ? know good hotel near there so would be nice after 6.30 if prefer fri thats fine.

Jaws, in case you don't know, IndiaMike meetups are usually held at the weekends, and the date's sorted out a bit in advance, so that more members have the opportunity to attend. Of course if there are enough London members who post to say they want the next meetup to be held during the week, there's absolutely no problem with holding one then.

However, if you're planning for just the two of you to get together, it's not really an "IndiaMike Meetup" and it might be more appropriate to arrange it by PM.
