Is noon too early for the rest of you? I can't meet later because I have to be at a function in the afternoon. If that's not convenient then just plan for what suits the rest of you. I can meet up with you next time if that's the case

I am in an internet cafe in Tawang; the helicopter rides down are not working at the moment because of fog but hopefully we should make it back to Kolkata for the Meet-Up.

Saturday lunch at 12 noon at Suruchi plus boat ride afterwards?

Yes thank you, Kausiks, our trip was unforgettable. I will write a trip report when I get my thoughts straight plus some of Mr T's photos (much later).

So, somnath biswas, you think no-one's interested? Shotti! We already have at least six people if I can count correctly: Mitzi, Mr Mitzi, Linwei, Theyyam, Mr Theyyam and Rongon...

Since you are here J., can you please tell me the way to your relative's (you know who, the famous author's) ancestral home in Kumartuli district? We would like to go on a nostalgia tour there.

If you want to see where I grew up take the metro to Sovabazar. Kumartuli is at a small walking distance from here, its another world out there. Wander around and wind your way here among the ruins of Gothic & Victorian mansions and reach the Ganga. Stare at the huge mansions along the river side where the rich & mighty of those times lived. Having done it take the ferry to Babughat, you will have to change at Howrah.

After sending back and forth many PMs with those (even vaguely) interested, I would like to propose that we switch the date of the next Kolkata Meet-Up from Saturday to Monday lunch. What do you all think?
