Hey guys, lets meet in BOOK FAIR on 3rd March!!!
Hope, safari vala and theyyamdancer will be in Kolkata on that day so we can meet-up on that day!!
One more IMPORTANT thing, I came to know that one of our friend in this blog is going to celebrate this Book Fair on particularly 3rd March by releasing his unique experience in a book format....so, we also should celebrate that!!
What do you think guys????

That is a fantastic idea! IF we make it to the meet-up at the book fair I would be very happy. We are arriving after a very long journey (24 hours - three flights) in Kolkata on Monday morning and need to catch our breath first. I had planned to go in search of permits (for Sikkim and for Arunachal Pradesh) as soon as we arrive. We will only be in Kolkata for three days. Except that might change due to the ongoing bandh in the Darjeeling hills. My itinerary is in tatters which is a very good lesson in impermanence.

To return to the meet-up proposed: WHERE is the book fair being held finally? How do we get there from Sudder Street?

My computer has crashed most inconveniently a few days ago (needs a new hard drive) so I am using a friend's computer and am therefore on-line much less often.

That’s great!!!! I am also planning to visit once again. So lets meet at 7 pm tomorrow. I am not sure if everyone can spot the Climbing wall…… if I can recollect properly, the nearest book stall is from JAJABAR.

BTW, I am planning to visit Shantiniketan during Holi. I had never been to Shantiniketan but I know that’s a nice place to experience Holi celebration. And I know the crisis for hotels and all ….. but hey, we are luck you’ve managed a two room house. We are going to start on Thursday evening and we’ll be back to Kolkata on Sunday. How is the idea?

Gr8 idea.
The holi is beautyful there.
it will be better if you have any one there in the university to collect passes to c the programme frm nearer place. and more over if you reach thursday evening then dont miss the dress reharshal at gour prangan. there you could c properly the programme.every body there(outsiders)generally went early morning and hold the seat to seat and view from front.and they miss the procession,which is the best part as per my view.please be present in the baitalik if possible(at 5-30 am).Wear white pajama panjabi if possible and take only abir.also be sure to c the programme of sangeet bhaban and kalavaban after the morning programme(it will happen here and there near to kalo ghar and santhal paribar and kala bhaboner pichone.NJOY.
