Hi friends,
Please refer to this thread (the link is given below) for the latest updates and the meetup photo, snapped by Big’Zee. http://www.indiamike.com/india/showthread.php?t=12809 It would be better, if we reply in that thread (regarding the Kolkata meetup on 11th June, 2005 ) to keep it more organized. Thanks, Somnath |

Guys, didn't I teach you anything in all these months? (Aaj kaal kar chele me gulo, shotti manush korte paarlam na!) All of you belonging from Calcutta should be for sheer ignorance!!! What am I ranting about? I suffer all the butter chicken with kurry leaves in Bangalore, and you guys go to peter act and don't order for chelo kabab?!? Chicken marakesh, if not chelo kabab, at least steak, if not marakesh! But fish. And then you have the gall to say that it was not bengali enough! Peter cat is not a bengali Resturant. It is one of the best resturants in Calcutta and my fav. but not a bengali resturant. I still cannot believe that you guys didn't have chelo!!! I am seriously dissapointed in all of you. I will just have to come down to Cal now and give you all a training session in "eating out in Calcutta!" (hey, all those who i have never interacted with before, please don't mind my patronising stand. Somnath will tell you, I am just doing it to prove that you guys can't compete with Bangalore meet ups! ![]() when will I go to Cal next? Peter Cat! Chelo kabab! ![]() |

“Guys, didn't I teach you anything in all these months?”
- Sorry mam extremely sorry . It was my responsibility to guide them and ….. I failed . Guys please say sorry to Nathasha aunty and listen to her. “I suffer all the butter chicken with kurry leaves in Bangalore” - What is this? World’s best prawn malaicurry “cooker” is living such a miserable life!!!! (for those who are missing something : http://www.indiamike.com/india/showt...page=1&p p=15 (post #14) ) I am seriously disappointed in all of you. I will just have to come down to Cal now and give you all a training session in "eating out in Calcutta!" - We will go for Biriyani at Aminia. OK? But please don’t forget to bring your recipe of “prawn malaicurry”. “I am just doing it to prove that you guys can't compete with Bangalore meet ups!” - Yes I am agree with you that I am also looking forward for the Banglore meetup but let me tell you, Kolkata IMers will catch you soon. What do you say guys? Can we do it during meetup and in Kolkata? Just look at the list, she has provided !! Come on Big’Zee you are a brave boy . I know that you are planning for one more B’lore (Natasha’s den ) meetup still ready to accept that the taste of Bengali dish was good even in a “Non-Bengali” Resturant in Calcutta.“mother of all calcutta food list” – my God !!!! Natasha, there is probably one thing is left and that is Hajmola Sir (or Madam) !!!! |

natasha aunty,
i am extremely sorry for taking bigzero to a non bengali restaurant for bengali food... actually it was not preplanned that we would have bengali food... it was just circumstancial that we ordered fish... we could not have those dishes you recommended ,because everyone was not open for all options. one more thing... from your post it seems that from morning to night you just go on eating...take my suggestion and control your appetite a bit.. ofcourse if you insist, then we 'Kolkatar chele me gulo' can send you cans full of hajmolas... bye aunty... and one more thing.. we met there just for the gettogether....we wanted to know each other.... and that's it, we had no plan to have any elaborate seven course dinner... so we are hurt for your complaint... we hope, next time you will defenitely take us for all the foods ,you have mentioned on your chart, around Kolkata.... bye, we will wait for your grand treat..... ![]() |

Cool off guys
natasha was just pulling your leg.. ![]() Meanwhile here is the second meet-up photo, with a thoroughly tired and sweaty bigzero ( though quite happy, as you can see from the stupid smile ) among the kolkata crowd... ![]() Gives you an indication of the Kolkata weather, isnt it. somnath, thanks for reminding me.... |

cliffhanger with the red helmet...
I will show you "aunty" when I get there! Just you wait. And you can keep those hajmolas for yourself. 1. you get hajmolas in bangalore, and 2. my digestive system is quite good. And, in decent company, you don't say "seems like you go on eating all day" instead, you say, "you seem to be a foodie!" Bigzero, from now on, i have officialy changed your name in my diary from "my gold tooth sleez" to "the robast gentleman of mid thirties?" ![]() Don't worry, just joking. I don't enjoy being called "Aunty" either. Somnath, i am going to make you pay for this! |

Natasha Mashi,
You should be forced to eat "chikan shikan" but with curry leaves (aiyo) everyday for next one month! Why do you have to torture others by naming all those heavenly foods? Go eat your bisibela bhath! |
