so far nobody noticed it

One of the problems with posting meetups is, ironically, the success of this website. So many new posts are reducing the exposure time to hours on the front page, so if a post has no prompt replies, it disappears If anyone has any ideas on this, pls voice it!

A good post about Kathakali ( of course by me only ) went unnoticed by quite few. Now a new thread is about kathakali , asking a lot of things i have already explained in my post..
Yet another post missed by many was the article on the " miracel of music therapy" ...

Know what you mean Bij. I posted in the "Where was this photo taken" thread and have not had any answers yet. Thought it might be good for some friendly competition and a bit of fun. So far no takers. I even offered a PRIZE !
Isn't there some way to make a thread sticky, or is that just in the forums?

Great idea, but I've got sooo much to do that I'll never be able to cram that in!

Would love to see you-all around mid-January, before I get into busy season.

Biji :As you said the ,so many post per day,The meet thread goes somewhere if no one reply.Have to bump up.

My Suggestion is we can make a Event Calender the meet up DATE .
I think no one used so far,if click "calender "it come add new Event.
It will show near "todays Birthday "
Dont members will check offten the dates.
May be Mike help us regarding this.

Biji , i just tried to put up 25th MEET UP AS EVENT Calender section.
If you click u can see ,just trail post.The place and Venue you can add.

The thing memmebrs have to check this section. May be once we used to know,w can check for offten to find out any meet is there.

initially i used to see the first page which only has 10?? or so threads and i would miss the rest. So now i have started going directly to the "latest threads" link and check out all the messeges posted in that day or two days. That's my way seeing that i don't miss much.

If yours is the last thread posted, there is a sneaky way to bump it up.

Copy the post, delete the post, then paste on a 'new' reply. (as I've just done in the 'Where was this photo taken' thread.

I have yet to come up with a solution so people can see it easier. Ideally I could just make a little block on the frontpage and just add a link to the threads. However it would have to be done by hand and often times meetups are just random and without notice and I am ill prepared to deal with them.

I am open for suggestions on how to handle them.

had an impromptu meetup with Ashish the other evening. Had a great time on wanderer22s photo mission at Nerula's. the evening featured their icecream hmmmm. only snag, I Posted in the shout box instead of here.

So t remedy that...will be in Delhi for another week or more so anyone else passing through or lurking locally give us a shout and see if we can do it again

the ice creams are on me ;-)
