And royalty is not a given its for a privileged few, so maybe thats why we have fewer IM'ers and fewer meets here.

Drat. Thats the day of my annual lunar trip. No, not being loony but looking at the fact that short noticed meetups haven't worked out, this might actually work out. Now looking at how this thread unfolds...

8-12 by September, does not mean anything for Oct! In most cases, it is a 4 days advance notice, especially since people have last minutes schedules with the boss (work, wife etc).

Yes, you're probably right there Nattusbs and I have to admit the thought did actually cross my mind as soon as I posted. But nothing ventured nothing gained, so I'll just stay optimistic.

I'm one of those peeps who can't see more than a few days in advance with anything. I think this is why I've said yes to things such as taking a job as a Chinese cook when I knew nothing of cooking Chinese food (I figured I'd learn on the fly...didn't work out). I said yes to marriage once -- had I waited just a few more seconds and thought about *after*, it would have saved me years of trouble. Point is, I just can't see till October. Please remind me later.

Ah, billyshake, the impulsive streak is something I well understand..... eg. three flights to India in one year, plus a flight to Cambodia...it's been a hectic year. Pity that work gets in the way of buying airline tickets online!

Of course, one trip and staying a lot longer would be so much better, could be a full-time free spirit and not have to be a planning freak... which is laughable in my case, does not reflect the norm for the rest of the time.

So, no worries, you bet I'll remind you closer to the date!

Hello Everybody.. the current topic of discussion is for Oct meet-up.. well how about meeting first week of August ? I am arriving to Hyderabad on 1st August.. would be there till 8th Aug and then heading to several places holidaying.. so people let me know if any of the dates is fine for meetup ?? ..

##I am away from Hyderabad from morning of 8th August, 2009 to night of 16th August,2009 on a trip to Koraput/Ranchi/ Dhanbad/Koderma/ Mughalsarai/ Howrah/Visakhapatnam including a wedding in VSKP on 15th and quite busy with a family-wedding between 2-7 August,2009.

##On 11.9.2009, I am off to Madras/Tiruchirapalli/Tirupati and will be back in Hyderabad only on 15th morning.

##On 1.10.2009, I am off to Machilipatnam/Visakhapatnam/Koraput/ Vizianagaram and will be back in Hyderabad only on 7th morning.

##Sunday,23.8.2009 is Ganesh Chaturthi; hence ruled out for me.

##How about a meeting in HOTEL YATRINIVAS AT 7.00 P.M. ON SATURDAY, 22.8.2009?

##Why Yatrinivas, you may ask? Because it is conveniently located, the food is good, no nuisance from Pub-Music and no nuisance of TV and more importantly, the saturday-crowd is evenly divided in different parts of Yatri Nivas, albeit, for the same purpose, so that I can hear what you are saying.:-)

##By the way,a meet-up CANNOT happen, unless the prospective participants exchange their contact numbers through PM, so that there would NOT be any identification problem.
