just a suggestion, why dont we go to a place where we can play a few games of pool, darts as well as have a few drinks? i know a nice little spot at lal bungla, i did a painting for them in their bar and know the owner so its a pretty chill place. novotel is always a good place, but a little expensive and far for most people. i live right down the street so not a problem for me. yatri nivas is a little boring, nothing to do but sit and drink. just a thought.

I like your idea - pool is always good to play - I used to play a lot as a grad student in the pubs in Canada. The more beer I had, the better I got

thats the name of the pub at lal bangalow, i guess in ameerpet, do they have pool and darts.

the place is called P Matka, 4th floor of the Zeiss building, i dont know the actual name of the building but the sign Zeiss is very visible from the street. its at lal bungalow in ameerpet.

they do have pool and darts, the pool table is slightly restricted by two walls but not too inconvenient(they have a smaller cue stick for such shots),

dart board is cool but the darts are a little bent so perfect aiming is not possible.

dont get me wrong its not a bad place and i hang out there whenever i get a chance.

a big bottle of beer is 150 and a large signature whiskey is 150a game of pool is around 20 to 30 bucks, darts are free to play.

food is good, but a little expensive. chicken tikka is around 180-200 bucks.

i'm game for whenever, i just need two days advance notice.

Oh Bad luck... I have shift on Sunday night, and Monday I'm leaving for my trip to TN so will be busy on Saturday with all the related nitty-gritties before a long journey. Would really like to join you guys, but guess it has to be some other time. Have a great time!

i guess everyone would like to go to their own favorite spots, but i still say lets do something other than sit and drink.

i love drinking, but sitting around doing nothing and getting shit faced is not really fun. the only exception would be if theres a game of texas holdem!!

anyway, whatever you guys decide just let the rest of us know. sec'bad is on the other side of the city for me so its a fifty fifty chance i'll make it. non the less, have fun!

I would tend to agree with you. Yatri Niwas is closer to me, but, I also found the place too noisy last time (until we went outside under the shamiyana for dinner). Let's go to the place you suggested - 7-7:30 pm on Sunday - I would like to try a new place too.

Please give location & landmarks once again.

##It is NOT the question of one's favourite spot but it is the question of acessability/location/cost factor/easy identification that matters most.

##In so far as I am concerned, I am more interested in meeting the people than eating/drinking/playing which are absolutely secondary to me.

##If anybody else is interested in drinking while playing pool, then I have no objection to come to the spot, sit for sometime, eat something and then push-off.

##Now, I pass on the buck to Mr.natusbs, for a FINAL DECISION.

Hey hey hey, my ears just perked up at that. Where is this place? I'm quite good at virtually any "sport" in which a man can smoke and drink at the same time. I play pool, shoot darts, bowl, play bacci ball, you name it. Hell, I'd throw lawn darts if they didn't make them illegal in the states after, like, the 100th guy died playing the game!

So...I haven't read all the posts. Where are we going?
