Dear Mahajan,

Since 6th November,2008 happens to be a working day, I cannot join earlier than 19.00 hrs.

In so far place is concerned, could it be anywhere on Rajbhavan Road OR better still, the centrally located and standard place Yatri Nivas?

Last time, we met in Little Italy - too far.:-)

I'm working that day too so 7-8pm would be a good time. Yatri Nivas works for me. My office is down the road in Begumpet.

Hey count me in too! I have no clue what Nov 6th holds for me, but as of now its fine with me.

Yatri Nivas again, eh? That will be the third meet-up I will be attending there. Not a bad place for meetups though.

I shall also say! (Boy, I love making proclamations like that.)

Wherever we go and on whatever date, can we make it a costumed meetup? I have my Yule Brenner "West World" outfit just sitting there in my closet all lonely-like.

Costume is fine as long as you don't sing Telegu songs to Eagle tunes.

Cheers

You kiddin'? My singing Eagles/Telugu songs is the night's entertainment. The Captain already gave me a contract.

I once saw a band in Thailand that did nothing but Eagles covers, with a strong Thai accent.

As long as it wasn't Hotel California. They commit murder with that one, but doesn't everybody?

Dude, I honestly saw a Thai band do that exact same act! They were in a little bar on one of those side alleys from Khao San Road. Wonder if it was the same band.

There's a couple guys in Cambodia who play the local pubs and brothels. One of them is a Filipino and the other guy is a French fella. They play nothing but American classic rock and Green Day. The music is pretty dead on, but the words are never anything close to right -- like he's making 'the sounds' of what he interprets the lyrics to be. Funny stuff.

This was in Koh Samui, but they had travelled down from Bangkok. I remember the band name because it got a bit lost in translation. They were called "Robert Band". They also did some Pink Froyd.

I'm up for the meetup. But I have to say -- and this isn't a joke -- if the elections in the states go badly, I doubt I'll leave my house from the 4th through about the 14th. Yes, I really am that invested. Sad, I know.
