Who wants Gurgaon meetups to be seperated ?? they have always been part of Delhi meetups !!

Hmmmm... Vinay had requested it. Although Mach had pointed out to me the same thing you just did right after I created it.

Ummmm... do we need two separate threads, or will one for Delhi/Gurgaon do?

I guess Delhi/Gurgaon would be better...

If someone wants the venue to be Gurgaon he/she can post in the same thread...

Infact why not make it Delhi/NCR, as it would cover other suburbs like Noida as well..

This was Delhi members can join the meetups that take place in suburbs and people living in suburbs can join the Delhi ones..

Shashank, I had requested for a seperate Gurgaon meetup as living in Gurgaon I'm finding it really difficult to get myself to drive all the way to Delhi to attend a meetup and I feel that some of the Gurgaon based members (which is growing) would be feeling the same. At the same time, having a seperate section would help getting Gurgaon members comeout and can plan some meetups on a short notice without getting lost in the heaps of posts on Delhi meetup thread.
Delhi memebers are always welcome to Gurgaon meetups and I'm sure Gurgaon members would be happy to join Delhi meetups, whenever they can.
I'm not sure how many Gurgaon members would be open to local meetups and if we do not find any takers for Gurgaon meetups, I'm all in favour of closing this thread.
I'll leave the decision to the mods team.

If you live or work in Gurgaon, raise your hand, and your feedbacks please.

I think Vinay makes sense..its a bonus for me..I am frequent visitor to Gurgaon where some of my close friend lives...

So lets get started and see what we get here..

I like the idea of sharing the meetups around (going to either Gurgaon or Noida). Good way of getting around the place too.

I would also guess that one of the reasons the Delhi meet ups are so localised is for travellers passing through who are invariably staying in central Delhi (as in the case of the meetup on the 15th where we have a small UN contingent turning up - or so it seems).

Still, I'm keen.

I guess it would take the original Meetup Guru aka Vinay to get things started in Gurgaon. So what do you propose Vinay and when, on most Saturday/Sunday evening I am in Gurgaon, so keep it on weekends and I would be there.

Start planning for the first one..!!

I went all the way from NYC->Gurgaon->Karolbaug for DEL Meetup

nycank: I did the same but in the reverse direction, Gurgaon-Delhi-NYC

BB: no doubt the number of visitors would be far more in Delhi. This is more for people living, working and maybe visiting Gurgaon. I've not been able to attend any Delhi meetups for sometime now. The last one I attended was when Steven_ber was here. That day my driver called in sick so had to hire a car so that I don't have to drive back afer few drinks and to be at Volga at 6.30PM I had to start at 5.00PM. and by the time the meetup picked up pace, it was already 9PM. Even if I had left at 9.30PM I wouldn't have been able to reach before 10.30PM and its a long drive.
Where as in Gurgaon, no matter where is the meetup venue one can be back at home with in 15-20 mins.

So lets see if there are any takers for this idea, otherwise Delhi meetups are always there.

here's a thought - why not have the meetups slightly closer to Gurgaon...say in the Saket/ Priya/VasantKunj etc type of area?

kind of meet halfway :-)....would that help the gurgaonites??
