I was just there tonight.. it was pretty crowded.. not sure about the female companion thing at zara... thought it was one of the few places you could go without. guess not.

Female companion is not like manadatory here.. but they insist on couple entries expcially on weekends!! but they ae not very rigid.. can be convinced if you are regular!!

Hmmm knowing the trend not many ppl agree simultaneously for a meetup...

so as Nick had suggested earlier..maybe next time let a person suggest a concrete time and place (like i had done last time) and irrespective of no of people lets meet up.. i was till yesterday afternoon hoping for a meetup at zara's but didn't get any further update so left it.. any chance we meeting up today evening i won't be sure as i dunno how many ppl would check in.. so next time lets do it in much better planned way..

I never seem to have attended this, despite being in the community for quite long.

We should jam up sometime - prefer a silent place(beach??) where we can sit and relax and probably have a good chat.

Does anyone have a house by the beach?? resort kind of??

Is there even the germ of a plan for a meet up in October? Preferably (for me, of course

) sometime after the second week in the month?

How do these things usually get off the ground?

Actually, I probably shouldn't even be posting this as we don't arrive until the 6th, and I may be inundated with stuff to do (although if everything goes as planned we will have a flat waiting for us upon arrival...in Kilpauk). But I'm going to post it anyway.

Ambler, these things seem to be planned well in advance, so we can try to fix a date already. And it might be nice for you to vent some things in between the moving and adjusting

Sundays seems to be the most convenient day for most of us. The first sunday I am free is October 19th.

And by the way, Nick, you must be happy with the smoking ban starting October 2nd!

As far as I know October 19 would work for us! I can't imagine I'd have any work committment that day, which is the only thing which would keep us away...I'm looking forward to putting faces to all the names (and avatars!) of people who have been so helpful, and have put up with some of my more hysterical posts!

How frustrating, though, to be stuck in the traffic on Luz Church Road for 15 minutes, passing the hall, having to get to Luz signal to do a U-turn. Next time I'll park a little way away and walk!
