@Puchoo and Mac, Maybe this will add fresh energy to Chennai?

Maybe this thread can be merged after the meetup date?

@Indiassa, You said the magic words; I am game for beer meetups! Just how many people you feel should be present in the meetup? Or it does not really matter, the more the merrrier!(What if the numbers are less?) I feel quality is as important a criteria as quantity!

@ Mods, I think the "bored in Chennai" thread should be merged with this or all three in Chennai meetups!

I disagree!! even if you work in big company it can be boring here!!!

i may be game depending on place you suggest.. wednesday 6 wouldn't be possible so i could make it by 6:30 depeding on place u suggest and how far it ends up from my office.. i would suggest zara's or Hightime at GRT Grand!! i can transit easily!!!

I'm not going out on the 15th.

The worry about terrorism may be silly; the worry that various celebrations, parades and stuff will screw the city traffic may be less so.

People: someone has to suggest a firm date and time and go from there; if you get three people, great, if you get thirty, greater!

If you want to do tea I'll probably come; if you want to do beer I probably won't.

Anyways my request in general is if some members want to drink beer then why spoil the party?

Everything is in black and white and if you do not want to sign on the dotted lines then it is each individuals choice!

In general if some IM'er calls for a meet then attendance for all is not a must but those who say ye should make it.

.. but thats one reason i asked yesterday.. to decide now for today evening is really a short notice..

I don't know whats the problem with mixing Tea and beer both. we get loads of tee-teetotalers in Delhi meetups and it never has been a problem. Most of the places that do beer, serve tea or other non alcoholic stuff as well. So this leaves options for everyone, rather than going to place without bar, which leaves no option for beer lovers.

Absolutely.

So what's needed is for someone to take the plunge, and name a day and date.

Of course, if some people then say they can't come that day but could the next, it's negotiable --- but it has to start with a firm suggestion.
