6 pm Amethyst--Right?

6 pm is fine. I'm going to bring 2 books on India (Rajasthan and Nehru-Ghandi dynasty). If anyone has books to exchange (I don't want mine back!) please bring them!!!

Later,
Rocky

I'm not quite on the way, which means I'll be late.

No change there, then --- as an ex-boss of mine would have said

Two cats taken to vet for removal of stitches.

On cat fine: brought home.

The other cat is the reason we rushed there this evening. Her op wound is, thankfully, healed, but... well, you wouldn't want to read about the nasty raw mess under the bandage while you're having your dinner. Wrapped up in a special 'gown' to stop her licking it, and admitted as an in-patient for the next couple of days.

Anyway, Mirjam called me from Amethyst just as I was searching for her number, so I'm glad I was able to pass on the message.

Hey! I wish I was there

Too bad you couldn't make it Nick! But it was a nice meet up anyway. I had to leave early, so who knows what exciting stuff happened after I left . We had some trouble finding each other, so maybe we should give descriptions next time ( I'm the one with the pink umbrella or something ). Purl, Radjesh and Rockyp44 and me managed to find each other in the end and had an inspirational talk on meaningful activities on the weekend, among others a now non-existent wine club, which I am all for!!!! I'm back in India in September from Netherlands, so I could smuggle in the first stock for the wine-club

Hash, it is amazing that you are managing to be chearful about it! Good for you!

Please let us know how you are getting on: you are out of hospital?

In fact, if you feel up to it it, you could start a thread and tell the story --- though you can, I guess, expect somebody or other to claim that the dogs are harmless and that it never happens! Sheeshh... I always thought they were unless one was very unlucky.

u missed it

Yes, and I'm glad it was at Amethyst because I hadn't been there yet. Ha ha, everyone was expecting I was a guy.

Nick,
R u interested in taking a nice cat? My colleagues whose flat we took over may not want their cat sent on to Dubai. It's nice, doesn't climb on furniture (but does on the bed), named Pussca.

Since many people are in and out of town, work different weekend days, can we schedule a standard meet up day/time per month or two months? It gives everyone a set date to plan around. For example, if we say Friday night on even numbered months and Saturday (or Sun., whatever) evening on odd-number months, then everyone more or less is guaranteed a meet a few times a year.
