But as to having anything to loose: I guess I like neither the fumes of beer nor those of tobacco, and prefer to remain away from both.

But, as I've said before, nobody has to follow my likes and dislikes: feel free, of course!

*which is usually lager, a peculiarly tasteless drink. Chilling it makes it taste even less; a very strange custom, especially in Britain where it is still served ice-cold even when the weather is ice-cold!

Amethyst is a smokers paradise; incase of overlook!

Anyway for people who would like to meet over Beer and food I suggest the Rooftop Restaurant Vestin Park opposite Ambassador Pallava Hotel in Montieth Road. I found a lot of expats frequenting the place whenever I had the opportunity to go there.

I request like minded people to please post individual suggestions or pm.

Montieth Road, for us Southerners, is a pain to drive to in the evening. And yes, of course you are right about Amethyst and tobacco! It is the one thing I don't like about the place.

Veggie Hotel, anyone? No Smoking!

I can understand that people prefer some variety.

If we make it Amethyst this time, number one on the agenda can be where to have it next time? And maybe set up a short list of suggestions and get things moving around; a variety of venues, a variety of ambiances.

6 is fine with me. It shouldn't be any later, because we are organising a surprise party for one of our friends at home. So can't make it too long, but I'll drop in for sure!

Don't worry; it will last 29 minutes: people will still be there at 6.30!

Some people need to leave early, so need to leave early, so I think we still have an earliest starting time of 6.00.

Guys... my kittens should have gone to the vet this morning, and one of them has done a disappearing act. If I have to take them this evening, that could mean me missing out this time. Please accept apologies if that is the case.
