After Sunil left, she and I had an argument with the manager, as he put a TV religious discourse thing on very loud. Sheesh, if it isn't cricket disturbing the peace, it's religion!

Anyway, conversation won, and he turned it down. We had to fight for it though!

The chocolate ice cream was better than ever, but the added religion was a bit much

I blame the chai, served in earthenware cups. Earthenware is porous: I wonder how many bacteria there were living in it!

my belly has been rather funny as well...but nothing so bad, as seems to be your case.

put it down to my cassandra syndrome...i do recall mentioning and reckoning about the ease of cleaning those narrow mouthed little cups...

So how does this meetup thingy work. Me and my wife would love to join on your next event. I am originally from India but returned after 13 years in Singapore and Europe. My wife is from Philippines has just joined me so it would be great for us to meet up other newbies/expats in the city.

We don't have a formal process - anyone can suggest a meet up - date, time, place - and others pipe up if they can join. So propose away!

If you look back at previous posts, you will find that we have often met at Vasanta Bhavan in Mylapore, but we are open to other meeting places - the key considerations being location, cost, and will the establishment allow us to take our time. Speaking for myself, I love to try new places.
