Im in chennai saturday afternoon. leaving at 2PM on sunday. Will only be available on saturday evening if anyone is up for a coffee/tea.

Its time for a mega chennai meetup folks. Lets decide a place, date and time soon.

I heard that mainland china is offering good buffet lunch. Cozy place too.

Has the mega meetup happened yet? I've been lurking around IM for a few months now and since I've been here in Chennai about 3 weeks, I figured it was time to come out of the shadows. I'd love to join the meetup when it happens. I'll be here until October, so I'd love to make some new friends.

I'll be in town from 4th June to 2nd July, and I sure hope we'll have a big IM meetup then! A place we've never tried is the Cafe Coffee Day on the IIT campus - it's subsidized and with beautiful surroundings that make up for the retail chain feel... Do weekdays work well with everyone, say in the evening? How about, say - Wednesday the 7th of June, six pm?

would love to meet you next time I'm in Chennai (which will be next year again.) I usually attend the IM meets when I can.

Weekends probably work better for most of us, but I could make it

You are right, Nick! Weekends work better. Driving down from Harrington Road to IIT campus on a weekday would mean braving an impossible traffic on the narrow roads of Chennai at the peak hours..... 6pm, I mean. Our Mahamudra is a good option and we are a regular there by now. We can always do this after 4th June..... The first available Sunday after 4th June is good. What say others?

That would be 10 June.

Quite apart from the horrors of Anna Salai, reaching IIT from the North means braving two traffic jams just outside its gate. One on each side of the road!

I do like the idea of meeting there, though. It would be better to that in daylight. I mostly see the place in the dark, for evening concerts, which is not really seeing it at all.
