The Hindu is the best paper to watch for schedules. Probably quite a few will be published on 1 December.

www.rasikas.org is a good source of information and discussion.

www.kutcheribuzz.com usually carries the full listings.

(please, as you are a dance person, let me know if you see Saswati Sen and/or Birju Maharaj listed anywhere!)

Hey, That gives me a idea. One of our December Meetup should be in Music academy. We can book tickets in advance and enjoy. Its just a idea...Any takers..?

Thanks but you see as I am searching for a job so really cant confirm the date so long, but if I am just idle will surely attend the meet. The problem with me is I dont even know after 3 days I will be still sitting at home or getting job somewhere, as any time surprises can come.

Just count me in for 13 the friday. And I will be fine with any venue. As every venue in chennai is new to me ;-)

Iam married since a year and was working,not anymore.I love to make friends and is there anyone who would not mind to be a real friend?Ladies hear me????

Hi, welcome to Chennai ! Stay on this thread. They have meets, and I think one is planned for 13th Nov somewhere..

As for others, my two daughters are there with my wife. The eldest is getting married in two months so maybe she might suit you. Contact me offline if you are interested.

karma cade, lousy reviews -->here.

Pity; the location is good.

Anokhi (spelling?) would make a change from Amethyst, if we want to do the westernised cafe thing.

Hi Nick,

There is another place closer to Karma Cafe. it is Coffee World on C.P.Ramaswamy road just near Carnival Hotel. The ambience seems good, but it is more of burgers, sandwiches and the like. Otherwise, Vasantha Bhavan as you suggested would suit.

I request members to confirm their participation as the count down starts.

I guess I can take the liberty of counting Nick and Prasad in apart from myself which would make it 3 as of now.

Hi Aishwarrya,

Welcome to Chennai. Dont get frustrated, its only a matter of time and you can get many friends. You mentioned about Lady friends. there are a quite a number of Lady Members in India Mike with whom you can touch base. Janani, Pooja, Dara have all moved in the recent months. Rocky is there an old timer. Attend one of the meets and then you can find your friend who has the same vibes.
