I am very very careful guy. We bought platform tickets, met the Station Master, showed our identity proof, and he guided us to the Control Cabin, watched them operate it, met the Station Manager, introduced ourself, showed our IDs, et al.. Have been doing this from the age of 18, and always follow the rules. But good of you to remind us. Looks like you also are a loco about trains.. don't mind the expression... sounds rude in writing ! I think they have a fairly good rate of success, and from what I hear they are not leeches.. I am not very sure about leaches part, but I can check it out. Please consult the family and let me know. Those who want January meeting (and there are at least two; will probably be more, as it is high season), lets arrange it by mid-December. Otherwise, we'll loose everyone as the thread grows!

Can we have a meetup on coming Thursday(12th November) or on Friday the 13th. I do come across a lot of new Indiamike members in chennai. Lets meet them.

I am fine with any place. (Even Raod side Kaiyendhi in Pondy Bazar - Food is amazingly tasty and cheaper there)

Come on folks, Throw in your ideas about the place and spread the word. Lets make this a mega meet.

Yes, I can manage 12th, or 13th.

I would vote against any branch of Saravanah Bhavan: they are keen to get people in and out quickly, not amenable to moving tables and having people sitting around.

What is karma cafe like? That whole area is getting trendy! Have wondered about it when driving past.

Its a small place, may be a mini version of the Anokhis and Amethyst. I shall check the place today or tomorrow and see how many people it can seat and if there are any time restirctions and also about the menu.
