OK. You guys stick to your beer. I guess Saravanah Bhavan might still make a rendezvous point for Zaras, if you haven't scrapped it, and snacks and juice are available at stand-up tables outside.

Lets put a Barbecue Nation do on the agenda for within the next week or three. The background music is awful, it's not that good for chatting, but it is very good for face stuffing!

Chatting sessions, so far it is hard to beat Amethyst or Vasantha Bhavan, and the latter is very cheap, and also has Mylapore just outside for a post-perandial wander.

I would have said Distil except for a small detail... Couples get in free but its 800 rupees for stag entry.... soooo.... i guess depends on who shows up as i will be showing up alone.... lets meet at the saravana bhavan or there abouts....

Damn this could get messy.... were already on friday and still groping around for a plan..... Shoot i guess thats my doing with last minute suggestions.... sorry folks...

saravana bhavan is on the Radhakrishna salai and not off it..... as shown in the map...

Zaras is due west on the same road and lies after the turnoff to TTK salai on the opposite direction as Saravana bhavan...

), but it's normally just a little get-together of IM'ers and possible hangers-on, no rules, no formalities, just an occasion for a nice chat, over food or drinks or something as people do when chatting.

Any dresscodes mentioned just above had to do with some venues mentioned, I'm pretty sure.

btw TheJag, it's none of my business, but CTON mentioned having already booked for six at Zara's, no? Here.

I think we should stick to Zaras now. This will avoid confusion as there might be other IMers joining at the last moment. I have sent PMs to IMers who don't have my contact. A suggestion would be to coordinate while before coming to the spot.

Jag: I think ratio is not a prob now, if it happens, then we can always switch to other location impromptu.

Now regarding a place to meet up before that is fine with me too...but if we are not meeting before that, then whoever is coming please do make it at 8:30. Thanks

Was just going thru' the last few pages and just summing up things like, someone has already suggested skipping Saravana Bhavan, reason being we won't be able to reach on the cut-off time 8.50pm to Zara's, if so then we got to hurry up things over there then, that's not fair with people not coming to Zara's, as Nick has already mentioned that would be a long drive for a short catching up with others.

So I would suggest lets have a "only dinner" sometime next week and let tonight be the Zara's night. Lets meet up at 8.30pm downstairs and then move up.

Will that be fine?
