Folks,
I am off to Thirunallaru (Sani Bhagwan Temple) to visit Lord Saturn's temple. Saturn is moving from my Janma Raasi to other raasi. It was suggested that I pay a visit to thirunallaru before 26th. I am off in the morning and planning to return in the evening. Driving down with a couple of colleagues. Route will be Chennai - Pondy - Chidambaram - Mayiladuthurai - Karaikkal - Thirunallar. Distance is around 300 Kms (one Way) So this weekend, I am not there. Next weekend, I am fine. Lets meet guys. Lets wake up others too and specifically lets call new comers to chennai. Would love to listen to their experiences. |

I prefer self driving Nick. I left around 4 AM from chennai and reached thirunallar by 9.45. Came back by 1900 Hrs to chennai.
Took a longer time while coming back as naturally the traffic was more. The total distance covered was 646.7 Kms. Both breakfast and Lunch was in Chidambaram. Did not go to any temple enroute as I am not supposed to go to any temple after visiting Thirunallar. One needs to go home directly. |

646 km! I drove 52 km round journey three times last week and it was enough. It was a good trip, though
