You should be crossing guindy enroute to mylapore. Do call me at 9600041293 if you need a lift. I am leaving by six from my office in RR towers IV, Guindy. We can catch up somewhere. Even if you miss me, I can drop you back as we did the other day

Hello folks !

My second meet up was eventful as well ! It was great meeting Nick, Prasad, Gargi, and the new to the team, Mel, and Dominique. Ragu the veteran spent little time at the meeting, but was great knowing Ragu.
I wish we had more members from our previous meet ! Hope they'll all be there in the next meet up!

sorry. i got onto a bus bound for mogappair instead of mylapore and didnt realise it until i was almost at mogappair

if youre still sitting on your chair reading after having laughed as hard as you probably did let me also say that the prospect of riding from anna nagar to mylapore in rush hour traffic didnt appeal to me. sorry folks next time ill try to reach the correct location...

It was a pleasant evening, thanks all! I don't think they have computers on Venus --- judging from poor GfV's expression when we launched in a discussion on the place of the mainframe in today's IT world!

Unfortunately, GfV, being only on her second day in India, and having spent the day travelling, wasn't up to a late-evening Mylapore walk --- which, even after a few years in Chennai, is still one of my favourite things to do, but four or five of us did take a post-meet stroll, which was very pleasant. Today... I hope she is enjoying Kanchepuram.

I'd say the venue was pretty suitable. We all fitted around a corner table, but they would have been happy to join tables for us. Still, as much as I enjoy a masala dosa, I like my non-veg too, so variety is good. My stomach would be happy to do Barbecue Nation again!

That was in response to one of those "Ten Best Something or Other" threads. Generally, I hate best-list obsession; it's just fine for 13-year-old boys!

Dosas can be bad ---not hot, soggy, cardboardy--- or they can be good, but among the good, they are much of a muchness and I like them! Never intended to imply otherwise. Dosa or poori is my usual veggie eat-out.

Living in Chennai, with a distaste for Dosas spells doom to me.

I've found a wonderful Dosa place in Gurgaon that I patron at least once a week.
