hey, plan another one in March 2006! I'll be there, staying at the Indian Bank Management Academy, R A Puram. that's where KYM is putting us up. do you know where that is, Nick?

yeah, I do now, since I looked it up after I posted. I'll be staying near the Adyar across the river from the Theosophical Society. My map says that the Bank Management Academy is close to the School of Carnatic Music....

mmm....can't wait for my Eco Cafe... where I am sure you have already taken my thangachi, right, Nick?

Nick, KYM has 2 week residential yoga programs, if one so chooses to stay where they put you up. One always has the option of finding a hotel. The month long intensive I was at is the only one where you have to find your own accomodations.

Opting for the residential stay is cheaper than paying for the course and then finding a hotel and paying for that. Plus, meals 3X day are included. Also have the option of AC or no AC. Will I need AC in March? I'm assuming so.

KYM itself is just a school, no place to stay, so I am sure they rent space for students from the IBMA. It sounds like "corporate campus" situation, same as some programs are here. So the classes are at the IBMA, not at KYM.

You could probably do without AC in March if you were really trying to economise, but I'd go for it 'cos even when gthe temperature is low (this is my first 'winter' here) it is still very humid.

IceTea: I'm with you! I absolutley can not see the point of paying Rs50 for tea that can be bought in an every-day place for Rs5 ! (we could always have the alternative IM Meet together!).

Having said that, the juice place in which we met last time was not bad at all.

I should be available on 16th.

dec 16th - i'm game for cheap. juice sounds groovy. there's a 6:30pm concert i'd really like to get to so before that (think lunch or just after lunch) or after that (9ish) means i won't have to make a choice. maybe those times will work for you, i'd love to meet some IM'ers!!

Tell where your concert is (and who...), GY. Perhaps we could have a 3.00pm meet or something, and the musically inclined to go to the concert afterwards. That might be an IM first!

hey nick, i guess we can understand that your wedding plans take priority over the IM meet up! but, if you get back on here before thursday night, where was that cheap juice spot you mentioned?

If we don't hear from Nick, maybe someone can propose a cheap spot for a 3pm meet up on friday. and if noone gives any suggestion, by thursday night 9pm, i'll hop on and pick a place... but it might not be a cheapie. i'm using lonely planet guidebooks...

I'm in Pondi right now without my chennai music note and I can't remember the name of the person performing friday evening at 6:30 or the exact sabha location. but, i will circulate that info thursday night after i return to chennai, and hopefully some of you folks will join me. If my memory serves me it was a flute performance, Shashank.
