Hey Londoner!

Yes, I think a meetup is in order.

I have one suggestion, not sure what people think of it: Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff is showing Slumdog Millionaire between the 6th and 12th Feb. It has a great bar with a range of impressive beers, and is about 2 minutes walk from my house which has a spare room in it. Cardiff's on the mainline to London, you can do it in a day from Paddington.

Any takers?

I think it sounds like a perfect meet up.. lets do it, do it, do it... It'll be so good to meet up somewhere fresh. How about Saturday the 7th? I may be driving there, so if anyone needs a lift from London, you're welcome to contact me..

The movie doesn't start until 20.40, now I come to look at it. Might make train travel difficult/an impossibility.

Ummm. I also have a couch, and a blow-up bed!

Hello Londoners and out-of-towners! Great to see that you are organizing something exciting in Cardiff. I will be there in spirit only. Hope for more poems afterwards, Karuna. It's a super idea to set a precedent for different UK venues. Hello sssall, how are you?

Good idea. We might be able to stay with my daughter who lives there. What time are you thinking about meeting?

Karuna - thanks for the pm - I have been very slack lately (building work in full swing)

Well the movie's at 8.40pm (late, eh?). I figured we could meet and eat first at the Veg Food Studio (I hope people don't mind veggie food- it's just the most authentic Indian place in town).

Considering that place doesn't serve alcohol I guess an early eat- 5.30 - 6pm? Aim to get to Chapter for 7pm or so?

The Food Studio's not far from Central Station- one of those irritating distances that's slightly too far to walk but not long enough to warrant a taxi.

Map here.

PM me for road directions into Cardiff.

Karuna,

Excellent choice for food too. I think we should plan to meet up around 5:30ish. Looking forward to it already.

OK I'll see what I can arrange. Supposed to be playing hockey in Torquay at 3:45, so will have to find a way round that. It's not a long trip up to Cardiff from Exeter.
