Hi all well finally found out what date I'll be in Bangalore, I'm arriving on the 9th of December so anyone up for a meet up that weekend? Could really do with a sight seeing companion...? Let me know thanks!

in fact, all that weekend - 10th, 11th, 12th - I'll be at the palace grounds 7:00 onwards for the Bangalore Habba. It would be a good idea for all to meet there. But it depends on your priorities, of course.

10th is Sandeep Chowta with World Music.
11th is Shiv Kumar Sharma, Srtings, and Sayed Adil Hussain.
12th is Shankar Mahadevan - musical confluence.

Natasha by any chance are you also a member of SPICMACAY? I have been very active in it. Well now in Trivandrum havent met any members from SPICMACAY.

I am ok on all three days..

So anyone having a concern, raise it now. If no concerns, lets do it on Saturday. Meetup at about 5 some place. Break the ice, chit chat and then head for the venue. Meeting up at the venue, would not give us time to know each other.

This can be done on a friday or sunday also. But depending on other calendars.

You should be in Bangalore with all the fun happening here. no, i am not a member of SPICMACAY, but my hubby dear used to be. i don't know how long i can go on using this excuse but here goes for all it's worth - since i am new to Bangalore / South India, i haven't really "networked" much here. But thanks to all you guys, I'm begining to now.

Sudheer, please co-ordinate. I don't trust myself after the Hampi faux pas.

Since I don't have a mobile, (or a watch for that matter!) StarCrosser and Phantom, you will just have to PM your contact no.s to me. is your phone working yet, Sudheer? And yes, i think depending on the no. of people, at least two of us have to go to palace grounds on friday to get the passes. They will be giving only 2 passes per person. It's four people till now, right? What's up with the others in Bangalore? Would've really liked to meet Bijapuri. Heard so much about him from Sudheer and Vinay. Wake up, guys! and join in the festivities with biwi, bachcha, et al!

I'll have to miss this.
I attended similar one in April in B'Lore called 'Bhoomi Jatra' It was great and all-night-long ( Bangalore band 'Thermal & a quarter' started playing at 4.30AM)

I think Bijapuri is back in US..but if all IMer in town turns up you'll need more passes than 4...get everyone you know to collect passes for you guys...no worries of you are left with some unused..you can always put a Stamp which reads " with compliments from IndiaMike.com" and give to beautiful people trying to get in

I am still in town, but alas, my 6 months in Bangalore has almost come to an end, and I fly out of Bangalore on Friday afternoon.

I could be back next year in May/June and will resolve to be a little more sociable next time. My only excuse is that I am busy travelling on the weekends and usually too busy with work on weekdays.

Even though I do hate some things about Bangalore, I know that I will miss living here.
