Trip to Sangla, Himachal - 15th June to 20th June

Hi,

We are planning to leave by 15th night from Delhi in our own car for Sangla in Himachal Pradesh for a 5 day trip.

At the momenmt 3 of us our going, me and a married couple, both of them doctors. And we are looking forward to adding upto 2 more members to the trip.

As of now we do not have any specific plans for the trip but we do plan to trek a bit and go to near by places including indo tibetan border.

Nice place. I have been there on a 6 days trip in the June of 2000. We were 3, commuted by roadways buses and stayed in Chitkul, the last village beyond Sangla. No road further after Chitkul. Great to go there. I'll go again in future with my family. That time I was unmarried.

oops--saw that it is a request for travel partners and not gyan---but leaving the gyan section in anyway!

Sangla as a place to stay sucks since it is a concrete ghetto.
Chiktul is a good place to stay, so is Rakcham (midway between Sangla and Chitkul) if u have a car. There is a basic hotel there called Silver Crown.
Chitkul has quite a few basic guesthouses.
If you want to shell out money for good comfort, Banjara Camps is a nice place to stay
