| Thanks guys... I would like to go to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer for sure, maybe Mount Abu, went to Udaipur some time ago so can give it a miss. This I believe can be done by train but I also read that Bundi is quite nice and that there are quite a few other interesting places off the beaten track(any recommendations?)... these I believe need to take a car?... therefore the need for travel partners... of course if time permits and can plan it maybe a ntnl park... I will be starting my journey in Delhi.Another thing... should I try to get bookings for the hotels in advance as it is the peak season? |

| Hi luvtrvl and olive oil, I am a middle aged American man, traveling with a mid- 30's, extremely nice woman, from Spain, that I met in Badami India, in January of 2009. I arrive in Delhi the night of January 12. She arrives the afternoon of the 13th. Early morning on the 14th, we train up to Haridwar for the Khumba Mela. We expect to stay around 4-5 nights. We will then return to Delhi, and probably head for parts of Rajasthan (Shekhawat, Bundi) and/or Madhya Pradesh (Sanchi, Mandu, Orchha, Maheshwar). We're both very into photography, and the overall culture and food, etc. of India. She also does yoga. I tend to travel in a more budget to mid- range style, she is more budget. I like to rent cars and drivers at times, to get to the more out of the way places and sites. In any case, maybe we can get together and share rides, etc. Or if you want any information please contact: allanp33@yahoo.com |
